Hupac Group has appointed Britta Weber as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a leadership transition at one of Europe’s key intermodal operators.

Hupac Group has announced the appointment of Britta Weber as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 July 2026. She succeeds Michail Stahlhut, whose resignation had previously been confirmed.

Weber, currently Vice President of UPS Healthcare for Europe and Asia, will become only the fourth CEO in Hupac’s nearly 60-year history – and the first woman to lead the company. The Board of Directors said the decision marks the beginning of the Group’s next development phase, focused on strengthening combined transport, expanding sustainable logistics solutions and reinforcing Hupac’s market position in European intermodal transport.

"I am very pleased to welcome Britta Weber to her new role. She has over twenty years of international experience in the logistics industry and combines a clear strategic vision with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of customer needs," said Hans-Jörg Bertschi, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Weber highlighted the broader mission of the company. "It is a great honour for me to join the Hupac Group. Hupac stands for much more than a successful company; it pursues a clear social mission: sustainable logistics and the consistent shift of transport to rail," she said. She added that she looks forward to working with the management team to shape the Group’s next growth phase.

During the transition period, operational management will be ensured by the two Deputy CEOs, Benedetta Masciari and Alessandro Valenti, together with Bernhard Kunz, Delegate of the Board of Directors.

Hupac is one of the leading operators of intermodal transport along European corridors, handling around one million road consignments annually and operating approximately 130 trains per day. Founded in 1967 in Chiasso, Switzerland, the Group today comprises 24 companies across Europe and Asia, supported by around 730 employees and a fleet of 8,300 loading modules.
