Loconi Intermodal has started construction of a 9.4 ha intermodal terminal in Zbąszynek, western Poland. The site lies on the E20 railway corridor between Poznań and Frankfurt (Oder), with the opening planned for Q1 2028.

The terminal will be connected to one of Poland’s main east-west rail routes and is located near the A2 motorway and S3 expressway. The project has received more than EUR 17.7m (PLN 76m) from the EU FEnIKS programme.

The facility is designed with four tracks, allowing two full-length trains to be handled at the same time. The storage yard will have capacity for 4,500 TEU. Loconi plans to install two electric rubber-tyred gantry cranes.

The Zbąszynek terminal will add capacity on the inland section between Polish seaports, western Poland and cross-border routes towards Germany. Loconi Intermodal is part of PSA International.
