Both facilities also allow access to the general public in the form of driver experience rides, with the initial runs reportedly attracting interest from rail enthusiasts.

LokoTrain, part of EP Logistics International, has installed two railway driver training simulators at its facilities in Česká Třebová and Ostrava. Both are now operational and intended for a range of users, including professional drivers, trainees, and individuals interested in the railway profession.

Developed in cooperation with Czech technology company VR Space, the simulators combine a physical control panel with full-wall projection. The visuals include changing light conditions and landscape movement, designed to replicate a realistic driving environment. The simulated route exceeds 100 km in length and includes multiple signalling systems used in Czech operations — from automatic block systems to European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2.

Training scenarios can be adjusted by instructors in real time. These include both standard and exceptional situations, such as blocked level crossings, signalling faults, limited visibility, radio communication discipline, and order drafting.

The cab layout mirrors that of modern multi-system locomotives. Functional components are 3D printed, and touchscreens allow the interface to be adapted. The simulator in Ostrava includes a built-in projector and a radio handset, making it mobile and slightly more configurable than the fixed unit in Česká Třebová.
